PCCM Reports is an independent, open-access, peer-reviewed medical journal dedicated to advancing scholarship in pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Mission

Our mission is to provide a rigorous, peer-reviewed forum for clinically relevant research, quality improvement, case reports, and educational scholarship, with a particular commitment to supporting fellows, trainees, and early-career physicians.

Editorial Philosophy

PCCM Reports was founded on the principle that scientifically sound and clinically valuable scholarship deserves an opportunity to become part of the medical literature.

The journal emphasizes scientific rigor, constructive peer review, fair editorial decisions, and timely publication.

In addition to supporting authors, PCCM Reports seeks to provide educational opportunities for trainees to participate in the editorial and peer-review process under appropriate faculty supervision.

Independence and Institutional Relationships

PCCM Reports operates independently and is not currently an official publication of, or sponsored by, Henry Ford Health.

Although the journal’s origins are closely connected to efforts to promote scholarly activity and medical education at Henry Ford Health, its scope is national, and submissions are welcomed from investigators and clinicians at all institutions.

Editorial decisions are based on scientific merit, clinical relevance, and the journal’s published standards, independent of institutional affiliation.
